Q. There is a great deal of emphasis placed on the scheme being national. However, will certification be state based?

A. The scheme will be national and certification is not intended be state based.  The competencies require that applicants fully understand the national and their own state requirements plus have an overview of how other states / territories operate. Where certified practitioners seek to operate in a different jurisdiction to their home state or territory, they will need to completely familiarise themselves with the requirements of the new state / territory, or work with a practitioner who does have appropriate competencies in this area.
